Snow Storms in our Mainland, 2008
When the rest of us are celebrating Chinese New Year, many provinces in the Central, Eastern and Southern parts of China were attacked by the greatest snow storms recorded in history. Millions of people have suffered from the sever onslaughts. Thousands lost their home and families; among them are the poorest farmers in our country. In order to show our humanistic sympathy towards the affected people, the Geography Panel, the Civic & Moral Education Group and the Islamic Affairs Committee jointly organized a special assembly on 21st February 2008 to disseminate the news. Fund raising was also conducted on 22nd Feb 08. A total sum of HK$8,306.10 was raised and transferred to Hong Kong Red Cross.「校園暖流賑雪災籌款行動」
當大家在慶祝春節的時候，內地華中、華東和華南十多個省份遭遇歷來最嚴重的雪災，不單經濟損失慘重，人民生命亦受威脅。農民生活本已艱苦，加上暴雪成災，農田失收、房屋倒塌、學校破敗、受災民眾徬徨無依，情況令人關注。為加強師生對國內同胞的關懷，本校地理科、德育及公民教育組及伊斯蘭事務委員會於2008年2月21日在禮堂舉辦了兩場有關講座，讓師生們對相關情況更為了解；此外，亦於2008年2月22日在校內進行籌款活動，共籌得港幣$8,306.10。有關善款已交紅十字會轉到內地以幫助有需要的人士。
