暨賽馬會綠色馬力計劃資助「電動校巴啟用典禮」 展現綠色校園新里程
【香港，2026年10月2日】 為慶祝中華人民共和國成立七十七周年，並推動校園可持續發展，伊斯蘭脱維善紀念中學於10月2日隆重舉行「慶祝中華人民共和國成立七十七周年暨電動校巴啟用典禮」。是次活動獲得立法會議員陳祖恒議員，BBS及香港賽馬會慈善事務高級經理吳卓言先生擔任嘉賓，與全校師生及家長共襄盛舉。
雙重慶典：銘記國慶榮光 實踐可持續發展
在國慶七十七周年的喜慶時刻，伊斯蘭脱維善紀念中學將國家發展願景與環境保護結合。學校致力響應聯合國可持續發展目標（SDGs），將可持續發展概念融入校園生活的每一個角落。繼2022年於校舍天台安裝太陽能板，引進可再生能源作日常供電後，學校今年再添綠色新設備，獲香港賽馬會慈善信託基金透過「賽馬會綠色馬力計劃」捐助，引入全新電動校巴，並於校內設置電動車充電設施。
馬會鼎力支持 打造低碳綠色校園
伊斯蘭脱維善紀念中學衷心感謝香港賽馬會慈善信託基金透過「賽馬會綠色馬力計劃」支持學校推動綠色校園發展。全新電動校巴不僅能為學生提供安全、舒適及可靠的接送服務，更讓學生有機會在日常生活中接觸及了解綠色運輸科技。電動校巴行駛時不產生尾氣排放，有助減少路邊溫室氣體排放，同時讓學生在日常生活中親身接觸綠色科技，了解其實際應用。
此外，學校亦積極鼓勵教職員轉用電動車，全面推動校園綠色出行，進一步提升整個學校社群的環保意識。

校監蕭偉樂博士在致詞時表示，環保工作貴在持之以恆，每一個微小的改變都能為可持續發展帶來積極影響。未來，學校將繼續透過太陽能發電、電動出行及環保教育相結合的方式，積極培育具備全球視野與環保責任感的新一代。

Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College Celebrates the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China & Launches Electric School Bus Funded by The JC Green Horsepower Initiative, Marking a New Milestone in Sustainable Campus Initiatives
[Hong Kong, October 2, 2026] To celebrate the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and promote campus sustainability, Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College grandly held the “Celebration of the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China & School EV Bus Opening Ceremony” on October 2. The event was graced by Guests of Honour, including The Hon Sunny Tan, BBS, Member of the Legislative Council and Mr. Fred Ng, Senior Manager from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, who joined teachers, students, and parents in commemorating this grand occasion.
Honoring National Day and Embracing Sustainable Development
On the festive occasion of the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China, Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College integrated the nation’s vision for growth with environmental protection. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the school is dedicated to embedding sustainability principles into all aspects of campus life. Following the installation of rooftop solar panels in 2022 to generate renewable energy for daily school operations, the school has achieved another green milestone this year with the introduction of a brand-new Electric Vehicle (EV) bus and an on-site EV charger, generously funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust through the JC Green Horsepower Initiative.

Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College expressed its heartfelt gratitude to The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust for its generous funding. The new EV bus not only provides comfortable, safe, and reliable transportation for students, but also offers them first-hand exposure to green transportation technologies and their real-world applications. Operating with zero tailpipe emissions, the EV bus effectively reduces roadside emission, while providing students with first-hand exposure to green technology in their daily routines.
Furthermore, the school actively encourages teachers and staff to transition to EVs, promoting green transport and enhancing environmental awareness across the entire school community.
Hand in Hand Toward a Prosperous and Greener Future
Supervisor Dr. Siu Wai Lok emphasized that perseverance is key to environmental stewardship, and every small change makes a positive impact on sustainable development. Looking ahead, the school will continue to combine solar power, electric mobility, and environmental education to cultivate a new generation with a global perspective and a strong sense of eco-responsibility.
With the joint witness of all guests, school board members, teachers, students, and parents, the ceremony concluded successfully. The school wishes the motherland to continue prosperity and looks forward to working alongside all sectors of society to build a cleaner and greener future.
